Banana Ginger Smoothie

This smoothie is a nutritious treat, ideal for warmer days. Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory that can help with muscle and joint soreness and may help prevent Alzheimer's and some cancers. Bananas are a great source of fibre and potassium, as well as numerous other vitamins and minerals. They are a wonderful, natural sweetener and taste great when frozen.


  • 2 frozen bananas (peel before you freeze);

  • 150g of natural yoghurt;

  • 1tsp of vanilla essence;

  • 1 tsp of freshly grated ginger;

  • 1 cup of ice made from filtered water.

For those who prefer it sweeter, add a little honey to taste.
